Allergy
Introduction to Allergy Elimination
An allergic reaction is the human body’s response to one or more substances. The reaction may fall on a continuum anywhere from “a sensitivity” to severe anaphalactic shock. Allergens have many sources and could occur from any of the following:
- Ingested: Food, ingredient, herb, liquid or chemical
- Inhaled: Pollen, fume, pharmeceutical, perfume
- Skin contact: plant (poison ivy), lotion, cream, cosmetic, fabric, even “items” such as plastics, paper products… anything the body comes into contact with and sometimes just close proximity
- Injected: insect bite, pharmeceutical
- Infection: bacteria, virus, fungus
- Physical agent: heat, cold, altitude, dampness, radiation
- Mold, fungi: from any of several sources
- Genetic and emotional factors may also contribute to allergic reactions.
The NAET (Nambudripad Allergy Elimination Technique) is a gentle, non-invasive solution to actually eliminate allergies. The method employs a combination of muscle testing (kinesiology) and acupuncture or acupressure.
Kinesiology (muscle testing) is a diagnostic technique whereby the practitioner communicates directly with the patient’s body, by-passing the conscious, thought and verbal process. Valuable information is stored in our bodies of which we may not be aware.
The initial treatment tests the patient for sensitivity and/or allergy to commonly consumed elements: essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, protein; elements that are required for a healthy immune system. If the body does not absorb or assimilate basic nutrients, the immune system will be impaired and allergic reactions are intensified. So, we first ensure that the immune system is working properly, before addressing specific allergies, otherwise treatment for the specific allergen will be less effective.
Instructions prior to treatment
- Complete the NAET Intake form prior to your appointment
- Do not wear any perfumes, perfumed powders or lotions, hair spray, after-shave, or strong smelling deodorants
- Wear minimum or no jewelry
- Have something to eat before your appointment (don’t come with empty stomach)
Instructions following treatment
Keep a journal of
- Food and fluid intake
- Symptoms experienced
No vigorous exercise for 6 hours. Walking is fine.
Do not bath or shower for 6 hours.
Avoid extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Avoid the allergens for which you received treatment for 25 hours.
First Session
The first NAET treatment is a test of common allergens like egg (protein), calcium, Vitamins B and C, sugar, salt, grain, yeast, etc… The first 15 items that we test are elements commonly found in daily foods. If a person is found to have a weakness with any of the first 15 items, we treat to strengthen the body for those items first, for which it tested “weak” or “sensitive”. If the body cannot efficiently metabolize these common elements, then the immune system will be less likely to maintain the clearing of other allergens. So first we strengthen the immune system, by clearing common allergens, then we move on to other allergens (pollen, cats, dogs…).
