Acupuncture for Fertility

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years in the treatment of many conditions, including infertility. Whether trying to conceive naturally or undergoing assisted reproductive procedures, such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or in-vitro fertilization (IVF), studies show that acupuncture increases the odds of a successful pregnancy. A recent meta-analysis published in the prestigious British Medical Journal found that the odds of a live birth almost doubled with the addition of acupuncture.

In addition to optimizing fertility, other physiological systems improve such as digestion, circulation and metabolism; menstrual symptoms improve: cramps, headaches, bloating; many times sleep improves and most patients feel much less anxiety in general, especially as it relates to fertility.
