It’s August in the DMV and there’s a full moon tonight! I like to show appreciation for our one and only moon, try to make sure she sticks around and doesn’t run off to join the 82 moons in Saturn’s orbit. That’s a bit greedy don’t you think, as we only have one? Try to get out for a little of her light tonight. She emanates and nourishes Yin while the Sun is Yang. We need them both.
Ancient cultures understood that we are creatures of the universe and that when we align ourselves with the energies of the seasons, we reap the benefits that nature provides. Living in harmony with the seasons increases health and well-being.
While the heat and humidity may seem oppressive, plants are full and ready to pick. It’s time to make pesto from your basil, fill plates with tomato, avocado and mozzarella. Go to watermelon festivals and enjoy pool time while we can. There’s still time for summer vacations, beach time, hoola-hoops, running through the sprinkler, music festivals, sun dresses, screen doors, ceiling fans, porch parties and barbeques.
We’ll be moving into autumn too soon. Yes, it’s lovely, but it’s not summer! Look for your summer joys, even laying low with a book is a great summer-time activity.
The thing is, there’s a lot of angst and waiting in the fertility world, which creates congestion and stagnation. We need flow, in our body and in our lives. It is absolutely possible to do what you need for your fertility AND enjoy your summer. We can put our marbles in both pockets!
Come, lets share some thoughts about this: Fertility Road, Sunday Aug. 14, 9:30 till we’re done.
There is something about the quality of these gatherings… a common struggle, strong desire, determined women… but our discussions span so many areas of life, not just getting through and surviving the fertility struggle, but learning from it and growing through it. You can get through it on your own, but it is with the tribe that the struggle becomes an experience from which you take the bumps, heartbreaks and devastation and build inner strength, tenacity and resilience. It is the shared wisdom that you can’t get on your own. There truly is strength in numbers.
Come join us this Sunday at 9:30. We’ll save a space for you. And you can create even more space for whatever you are experiencing. We’ll show you how. Let me know you’re coming. Click the link above to let me know you’re coming.
